The 2025 FKF Youth Leagues regional finals have wrapped up across much of the country, with champions crowned in Mombasa, Turkana, Nakuru, Kakamega and Kisumu, as attention now turns to the eagerly awaited Nairobi finals.
In Mombasa, three teams walked away with regional honours following a competitive set of championship matches. Bandari Junior claimed the Under-15 Boys title, Ocean Stars emerged champions in the Under-17 Boys category, while Old Town Youth lifted the Under-13 Boys crown.
The Turkana region also concluded its finals, showcasing strong participation across both boys’ and girls’ competitions. Bunge Academy were crowned Under-13 Boys champions, Earth Movers secured the Under-15 Boys title, and Turkana Warriors topped the Under-15 Girls category.
In the Rift Valley, the Nakuru finals produced tightly contested encounters. Equip 1 of Nakuru West emerged victorious in the Under-13 category, while ASEC Youth claimed the Under-15 title after an impressive run through the championship matches.
Kisumu’s regional finals saw Fine Touch Academy take top honours in the Under-13 category. Kolal FC were crowned Under-15 champions, while Awasi Oilers FC completed the set by winning the Under-17 title.
Meanwhile in Kakamega, Shibuye emerged as Under-17 champions, Red Commandos claimed the Under-15 crown, and Shidodo Youth lifted the Under-13 title, capping off a successful regional programme.
In Nairobi, preliminary rounds have been completed, with the main regional championship fixtures set to be played on a date yet to be confirmed. The confirmed finals line-up features several highly rated academies and community teams:

Under-15 Boys Final:

Michezo Halisi (Makadara) vs Babadogo Tiah (Ruaraka)
Under-17 Boys Final:
Rodney Strikers (Ruaraka) vs Tikitaka (Kayole)
Under-17 Girls Final:
Kariobangi Sharks (Kariobangi) vs Mukuru Sports (Mukuru)
The FKF Youth Leagues form a key pillar of the Federation’s youth development programme, supported through the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS). The competitions feature boys’ and girls’ teams across the Under-13, Under-15 and Under-17 age groups.
These regional finals also mark the final phase of the current youth league structure. FKF has confirmed plans to transition to a revised youth development model aimed at enhancing talent identification and improving player progression pathways, with further details expected in the coming weeks.
